JNN Daily is a newspaper circulated daily to all sub camps. Created by a croup of talented Venturers, Rovers and Leaders, It covers everything happening in and around the Jamboree.

This page features an online version of the paper so people at home can keep up with all the fun at the Australian Jamboree!

AJ 2010 Arrivals – 12,704 scouts and their leaders arrive at the Cataract scout camp.

Scouting Friendships – One of the most important part of the Jamboree is the friendships we make.

Thanks to the Workers – More than a million hours of voluntary service has already been contributed

Vanuatu Scouts at AJ2010 – The 66 Vanuatu Scouts and Leaders are the biggest international contingent ever.

Opening Ceremony – The official 22nd Australian Scout Jamboree is now open!

Juiced up! – HEADLINE act BlueJuice delivered a spectacular, breathtaking show as the culmination of the AJ2010 opening ceremony.

Ultimate Test of Limits – ADAM Kilpatrick, a Rover from Adelaide is preparing to ride a trike from Adelaide to the World Jamboree in Sweden.

Rovering to Success – WHAT does the word ‘Rover’ mean to you? The family dog? An old car? A jackeroo who can’t spell?

What Next? AJ Action! - OK – Your campsite is set up, you’ve settled in and your Troop Leader has told you to go have fun, but you’re left asking ‘So what do we do now?’

Carnival Night – IT’S Carnival time! Rides, entertainment, inflatables! There will be this and so much more at tonight’s Carnival Night.

Down from the Cape – Scouts travel from far and wide, all over Australia and the world. In Troop 0129, 6 Scouts have travelled down from Cape York.

A Flock of Kiwis – 63 youth members and 39 Leaders are on site from Christchurch and surrounding areas in New Zealand to make up the vibrant and exciting New Zealand Contingent here in Jamboree.

Sheer Adventure! – SHAKING legs, blood rushing and uncontrollable shouts of excitement are just a few tell-tale symptoms of Adventurous Fever.

City Tour – IF you have never been to Sydney, you are in for a brilliant day.

A Cracking Good Story – WHEN Troop 0636 went to the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday, Leader Basher caught the attention of a different crowd, one usually avoided by the majority of Scouts.

From Woodstock to Jamstock - IT’S just over 40 years since the Woodstock music festival brought flower power and funky music to the world. The Scouts in Troop 0626 are commemorating Woodstock through their ‘Jamstock’ Troop theme at AJ2010.

Scouts of the World – LAST night our international Scouting friends from around the globe treated us to a moving and memorable exhibition of Scouting fellowship.

Cop That! – THE security and emergency arrangements for AJ2010 show ‘outstanding performance for a voluntary organisation’ according to Acting NSW Police Commissioner Dave Owens.

Market day is coming! – “MARKET Day 2010 is a “Test your Limits” day”, said Peter Bach, Director Activities AJ2010.

Band Aid – SO much is happening at the Jamboree, sometimes it’s easy to forget about all the work that is done behind the scenes.

Scouts make a big splash – Snorkelling, swimming, canoeing and sailing – and choc-coated ice creams – are highlights of the Chowder Bay water activities adventure

Flying High at the Air Activities Centre – Hundreds of Scouts and Leaders have taken to the skies above AJ2010. The Scout Air Activities Centre at Camden is offering gliding and scenic flights over the Jamboree site.

Scouting Genes – There are many Scouting families at the Jamboree, but 1st Ivanhoe Sea Scouts are probably one of the best examples of Scouting through the generations.

Ka Mate Ka Mate – The New Zealand performance at the International Night was not to be missed.

Market Day madness – Yesterday Scouts from every contingent – from Australia and overseas went slightly crazy as we staged the 22nd Australian Jamboree Market Day.

Creativity is the Key – From cordial shots and apple bobbing to carnival games and fortune telling, the sub camps were thriving at the AJ2010 Market Day.

Rescue Reunion – Coincidences are something we are becoming used to at AJ2010. Today Senior Constable Colin Benton and Scout Daniel Murphy from 1st Bangor were reunited after last seeing each other at a dramatic event that occurred on December 23rd 2009.

Dining Out – Troop 0126 was very excited to receive as their guest to dine the Chief Commissioner for Queensland, Maurice Law (Falcon) and his Aide de Camp, Stuart Schodel.

Doing Their Best – They came in packs; their distinctive yellow stripes easily visible. Wave after wave of eager Cub Scouts streamed into Cataract Scout Park for Saturday’s Future Scout Day. Full of energy and expectation, these ‘Future Scouts’ had come to experience how Scouts have tested their limits at AJ2010.

Cub Scouts ‘draughted’ into Scouts – Visitors Day also welcomed in our Cub Scouts for Future Scouts Day. Cub Scouts made their way around the site getting involved in the activities on hand. JNN Daily checked into Cirque de Scout’e to see if any miniature clowns could be found under the Big Top.

First Aid in Action – Edition Four of JNN Daily featured the inspiring story of Scout Adam Donohue from Troop 0431, who helped save his father’s life after a boating accident one week before Jamboree.

Get ‘Rover’ It! – HAVE you really thought about all the hard work done by the leaders around the campsite? For years before all of us are arrived here, hundreds of leaders have been working hard to make everything ready for us to test our limits. From the catering of food to music acts, off-site activities to the coordination of all Australian contingents and our international friends, they have been dedicated to the service of the Scouting movement.

A Curious Brood! – CAN you imagine telling your non- Scout friends that you spent the summer of your life dressed as a chook?

A Scout is Loyal - TWO young people from Troop 0325 are the epitome of fellowship and loyalty in Scouting.

Moving Underground – AS part of the adventurous activity base, Scouts get the chance to have a go at caving.

Double Trouble Times Five – SOMETHING must be in the water in the ACT! Troop 0224 is holding a very unique record and wants to see if anyone can beat it; this Troop has five sets of identical twins!

Testing your limits – THE sky was the limit this week at Camden Airport when Scouts were given the opportunity to soar above the Jamboree site.

Comedy Capers – COMEDIAN Sammy J began the AJ2010 Comedy Night with a song about not doing school projects. The Scouts went wild. They could relate.

KAOS Pushes Higher – NO-ONE at AJ2010 tested their limits more than the cool bikers from KAOS FMX. Extreme stunts, dirt bikes, BMX bikes and huge jumps.

Yakkety Yak! – THE opinions of nearly 10,000 Scouts will feed into the discussions and recommendations of the ‘Senate’ deliberations of the National Youth Forum at AJ2010.

A Night To Remember – THOUSANDS of Scouts had a wicked, ‘Idol’ time at the Main Arena last night.

Market Day Winners! – Market Day Winners from Troop 0714 in their VIP area. These Scouts come from 1st Moreland, 1st Gisbourne, 1st Whittlesea and 1st Queenscliff.

National Indigenous Scouts Program – AJ2010 created an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scouts and leaders from across Australia to meet together for the first time.

Farewell from the JNN Daily Team – IT’S been a blast – eleven days of reporting on the awesome activities and events that have made AJ2010 the best event on the Scouting calendar.
